I've been here. And I know exactly where you took that picture from. And I've climbed that mountain near the center of the picture. It's one of my favorite places.
I'm envious! I'd love to climb in those hills. In truth, you may have been there more recently than I have. This photo (or 14 photos combined into one) was/were taken in July 2004 between our first and second years.
The plan was and still is to get back there for real hiking and back packing. Though the kid keeps us on easy to moderate trails these days. Soon I'll have him carrying my gear!
Until then we'll settle for hanging out within a couple of miles of the campsite.
